Save the Date: The 1st UK-HK Children and Young People's Book Festival
Separated from our past and the voices we once knew, even our native language has become distant walls. Growing up far from home, we’ve learned to navigate the spaces between worlds, carefully piecing together new dreams and creating our own paths.
This book festival is dedicated to young members of the diaspora, making books their bridge and words their paintbrush to inspire endless possibilities. No matter where they are, they can still imagine a world of their own and build a new sense of home.
One day, when asked, “Where are you from?” they can smile and answer, “Here, where we have rebuilt our home.”
Join us on 28 October in Ealing, London.
Save the date and meet us in a sea of stories!

Join our interactive art workshop!
Ednovate is collaborating with Thrive LDN and Hayes, an illustrator and lecturer from Kingston School of Art, to offer a series of three interactive art workshops. These sessions provide young participants with the chance to share their life stories through various forms of illustrative art, finding connection within the community and turning individual experiences into a collective voice.
What's more, these young people's stories and insights will contribute to policy-making and academic research, helping to further support the well-being of Hongkongers in the UK.
Art is about expressing emotions; whether the result is visually perfect or not is secondary. So, even if you're not confident in your drawing skills, we warmly invite you to join us!
